On Sunday night Liberec defeated the defending champion Slavia Praha 2:1. Liberec played home, in front of sold out stadium and the match was live on Czech TV. Liberec led after the first half, but Slavia tied in the beginning of the second half. The match was decided in the 73rd minute by midfielder Papoušek, who scored from a free-kick from a distance of almost 40 m.

Liberec played the match in new jerseys, SMU’s made for the club by hummel. Let’s hope these wonderful jerseys will bring luck to them also in the following matches of the League and the UEFA Cup.
